Every car rental agency has its own policy. However, they do have a common policy that allows customers to choose a prepaid option when renting one of their vehicles. This prepaid option permits the driver to pay an upfront fee, as stated in the rental agreement, eliminating the need for the drive to return the vehicle with a full tank of gas. No refund is given to the driver for any fuel that’s left in the tank when the vehicle is returned.
If you decide not to choose the prepaid plan, and you return your vehicle with a gas tank that’s less than full, you will most likely have to pay the rental company for having to refuel the vehicle. Their fuel charge will most likely be based on an estimate: the number of gallons needed to fill the tank times the cost per gallon as stated in the rental their rental agreement. Quite often, car rental agencies will charge a higher price per gallon than your local gas stations.

When thinking of getting a cheap car rental, it is always a good idea to check the car yourself before driving it because one has to keep in mind that the people in car rental shops are just human and can miss certain things from time to time no matter how good they are at what they do. Cheap car rental won’t come cheap at all if you get into an accident. Aside from ensuring that everything is in good shape, you should also check if the car you are renting have good tires. Most people think that tires are round and black. They are correct in a way but what many do not know is that tires are a car’s or a vehicle’s most vital safety feature as it has always been for over a century. Your car’s tires are your vehicle’s only contact point with the road, and it is directly through the tires that implement whatever the engine or the brakes “say” or signal for it to do. In fact, even the most advanced safety features such as stability control systems and even traction are limited by your car’s tires capability to hold the road. This means that if your tires are not in good condition, all the car safety features the world has ever known will not be able to save you. Worn, underinflated tires and those that are no longer suited to the environment should be replaced because if you keep using them, you will be putting yourself and others at risk.
Tires are the most basic part of a car and most consumers do not know much about them hence not knowing which tires to choose whenever they need a tire replacement. While many buy based on aesthetics or its reputation, educated consumers buy tires that are safe, quiet, can last long before it is worn and can hold on to the road just fine.
